Visa Fees

The Visa Fee for the applicable visa type is listed in the table below. The fee mentioned is applicable per applicant.

Please Note:

• Spouses of German citizens and parents of German children(less than 18 years old), as well as spouses/children of EU- or EEA citizens are free of charge.
• Schengen Visa (short term): Children under six years of age, school pupils and students and accompanying teachers on study or educational trips, as well as researchers, will be exempted by all Schengen states from the visa fees regardless of their nationality.
• Schengen Visa (short term): For representatives of non-profit organizations who are not older than 25 years old and intend to take part in seminars, conferences or sports, cultural or educational events that are organized by non-profit organizations will be exempted from visa fees.
• For all the children between 6 and 12 years old applying for the Schengen or Transit Visa, visa fee will be 35 EUR.
• Due to EU visa facilitation negotiations with the following countries, the previous fee of 35 EUR for a Schengen Visa will be levied of passport holders from: Russia, Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia (incl. Kosovo) and Moldova.
• The applicable visa fee in Chinese RMB is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change without notice.
• Applicable fees will be accepted only in cash, at the time of submission. You are requested to carry the exact amount to avoid inconvenience.
• The fee is non-refundable.

An additional service fee of RMB 190 will be charged at the Visa application Centre.
