Scheduling an appointment

Appointments are arranged through the Visa Application Centre. Since walk-in clients cannot be guaranteed an open spot for an interview, Visa Applicants are strongly advised to schedule an appointment through the Visa Application Centre, ahead in time to avoid unnecessary complications.

Appointments can be scheduled

• At the Visa Application Centre either in person or by sending an authorized third person (At the Visa Application Centre applications will be pre-checked. This service is useful, as only complete applications can be processed by the German Consulate General in Guangzhou. The Visa Application Centre is not in a position to refuse visa applications.)

Important - please read carefully
On your day of interview we urge you to be present at the German Consulate General 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. Please note that applicants not showing up on time will not be accepted and will have to arrange for a new appointment.

Changing the time of appointment
Changes of the appointment time have to be arranged through the Visa Application Centre. A new appointment will be given free of charge if notified at least two days prior to the original interview.
